I hope everyone had a nice holiday season and was able to spend some time relaxing after a busy semester of medical school.
2016 is going to be an exciting for the medical school. We have a new associate dean for UME, Dr. Robert Englander. We are exploring new ways to structure admissions, looking at how the clinical years of medical school can flow better for students, and potentially getting a new AHC building! All great things.
As for student council, we are continuing to build this website, standardize all of our procedures, and generate more resources for you all to use. One example is the new rotation location guides put together by the Student Life and Career Development committee last semester. For full details of what has been going on in student council, you can always read through our meeting minutes.
Moving forward, student council is always looking for more students to be involved. Whether you want to run for a position during the upcoming spring elections or have a single project you would like to work on with student council, we are here to help make things happen.
Between the Activities Fair, candidates interviewing for the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education job, and getting logistics in place for another year of Student Council, this has been a busy month.
Here are the highlights:
As always, please send me an email directly if you have a concern or an idea. Student Council is here for you.
